this page describes how we build an interoperable application ecosystem for “sending” and “posting” public messages as nfts. it does this without any new requirements in any public chain, on top of how nfts already function today, meaning there are millions of messages that have already been sent

a lot of use cases open up from the simple protocols described, many more than any single person or organization could execute on alone, so i’m sharing these ideas early and publicly so that developers in the web3 ecosystem can identify opportunities and we can all explore them as a community

this protocol requires that you disconnect a little from what nfts are today and look to what they can be, which is… anything

non-fungible token standards are very low level primitives, it’s literally just a single thing

we then define new use cases and workflows by simply layering on additional data from what is already there today

or we can ascribe new meaning or understanding to the data already in the chains

something really cool about nfts is that they don’t become a new thing by not being something they already were. everything that extends nfts is additive, nfts become what they are now and something else
